People are the most critical resource a business has, and effective
utilization of employee capability is the focus of the concentration in Human
Resources Management. Evaluating the needs of an organization, finding people
to fill those needs, and providing an optimum environment conducive to high
levels of motivation and performance are all aspects of the human resources
function in a business. Being current with the latest research, policies
and thinking is an integral part of the concentration.
The following information is for the MBA Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management Concentration. Five graduate courses in organizational behavior and theory which may include one graduate-level course offered outside the Anderson School upon prior approval of concentration advisor. MGMT 400 level OB/HRM concentration courses may be taken for graduate credit.
The OB/HRM concentration requires a minimum of 15 hours of OB/HRM related courses above the required core course (Mgt. 506), which may include one graduate-level course outside of The Anderson School. A post-graduate certificate of 15 credit hours may also be obtained. The following are courses from which to choose:
